McKerrells of Islay

After a prolonged absence, thanks to the unannounced disappearance of our previous web host, we are back online.

Unfortunately the Forum settings were also lost, so it may take some time to restore this function.

"The McKerrells Return to Islay 2004" was a huge success.

Welcome to the family history website for the McKerrells of Islay. A number of McKerrell descendants have been researching the McKerrell surname on Islay for some time. More

Islay is the southernmost of the Inner Hebrides of Scotland and has justifiably been named "Queen of the Hebrides". McKerrells have been recorded on Islay since the mid 1600s and have possibly been resident there since the 12th century or earlier. More
